About the role#
Fidelity is looking for a Quantitative Research Intern to join the Strategic Advisers team in the Asset Management Division. This is a full-time summer internship based in Boston. You will work alongside a team of Quantitative Researchers to support the investment process. Your work will focus on an investment research or portfolio construction project, which may include single or multi-asset managed account applications for public or private markets.
What you'll do#
- Support the investment process by working with a team of Quantitative Researchers.
- Work on an investment research or portfolio construction project.
- Contribute to meaningful projects and key deliverables.
- Participate in hands-on training and receive mentorship from investment professionals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a master's or PhD degree in financial mathematics, engineering, science, or a related field, with an expected graduation in 2028.
- Experience using Python, R, SQL, Tableau, and AI tools.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience, interest, and skill in quantitative analysis or research.
- Academic exposure or intellectual interest in financial markets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate findings.

- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $50 to $77 per hour.
