About the role#
Festo is hiring an Accounting Intern to support the Accounting Department with our ongoing Sales Tax Project. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Islandia, New York. We are looking for students or recent graduates in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration who want hands-on experience in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Release customer debits and credits linked to sales tax requests.
- Manage the existing backlog of customer debits and credits.
- Manually process debits and credits to ensure they are handled individually.
- Contact customers to request missing exemption certificates.
- Update CertifyTax with new exemption documentation.
- Cross-check data between Vertex and CertifyTax to ensure records are accurate.
- Assist with additional tasks related to the Sales Tax Project as needed.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work in an engineering environment.
- Strong attention to detail when managing customer financial records.
- Comfort with repetitive data entry and documentation tasks.
