About the role#
The Tax Credits and Incentives Advisory team is looking for an intern to join us for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on federal credits and incentives engagements, including R&D tax credit and deduction analyses, cost segregation projects, and Inflation Reduction Act-related energy credits. This role involves working directly with engagement teams to solve complex tax issues.
What you'll do#
- Interview technical personnel and review memoranda to support credit and incentive opportunities.
- Manage the review and organization of client data for analysis.
- Serve as a point of contact for client personnel with both tax and technical backgrounds.
- Support engagement teams by tracking project status and identifying next steps.
- Lead the assembly of final client deliverables.
- Evaluate complex scenarios involving various credit and incentive opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a junior or senior in an accredited accounting program.
- Status of being two years from graduation with 150 credit hours.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above is preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- An interest in R&D tax incentives, federal and state incentives, depreciation, and fixed asset review.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Houston, Texas.
- The work modality is on-site.
- Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States, as the firm does not provide work sponsorship for this position.
