About the role#
Fenner Precision Polymers is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern for our team in Manheim, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role. You will report to the Engineering Supervisor or Manager and support our capital and process engineering needs. Throughout your internship, you will work on individual and cross-functional projects, participate in professional development, and present a final project to our executive leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Assist senior engineering staff with product design and manufacturing processes.
- Help determine the manufacturability of products by working with suppliers and production teams.
- Coordinate with manufacturing personnel on new product design projects.
- Research new technical areas and act as a resource for internal questions.
- Use AI tools to support your learning, innovation, and project outcomes.
- Collaborate across different departments to meet design requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program or related field.
- Completion of at least one year of college or technical school.
- Proficiency in 3-D modeling using SolidWorks.
- An aptitude for mechanical design.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Previous exposure to mechanical engineering through work or coursework is preferred.
