About the role#
Fenner Precision Polymers is hiring a Maintenance Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site in Manheim, Pennsylvania, as part of our maintenance team. This role includes individual and cross-functional projects, professional development, and community outreach. At the end of the term, you will present a final project overview to our executive leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Perform scheduled maintenance on processing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair equipment failures.
- Identify materials needed for repairs.
- Apply electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to daily tasks.
- Follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Wear required PPE and keep your work area clean.
- Shadow machine and facilities maintenance staff across different plants.
- Troubleshoot production equipment issues using PLC programs.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year at a technical college or vocational school.
- Practical mechanical and electrical skills.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, time management, and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with PLCs and drives is preferred.
