About the role#
The Discover program is a two-year rotational internship at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. You will spend your first year in one business area before transitioning to a second area for your second year. This program includes leadership training, mentorship, and networking opportunities. It is a full-time, paid position with an annual salary of $60,000.
What you'll do#
- Perform moderately complex analyses of business and technology issues.
- Work with clients to assess capabilities, identify needs, and suggest process improvements.
- Gather and analyze information from stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met.
- Contribute to solution discussions and potentially present outcomes to management.
- Participate in cross-functional team initiatives and technology-based projects.
- Escalate non-routine problems to senior staff.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current undergraduate student expected to graduate by December 2026 or May 2027.
- A degree or advanced certification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a STEM field.
- Experience with Microsoft platforms, SharePoint, Tableau, Agile, Scrum, or Cloud.
- Strong project management skills including planning, organization, and execution.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
