About the role#
The 2026 Fall Digital Transformation Internship provides an opportunity to learn how a wholesale bank operates, including how loans are made, how collateral is utilized, and how a bank of banks influences the mortgage lending business. Interns will assist with data-driven activities that impact financial operational processes and gain experience in building, automating, and supporting data reports, metrics, and analytics.
What you'll do#
- Collect, analyze, and develop data and reports to support various departments, including dashboards and monitoring for credit, collateral, and operational risks.
- Meet with business units to gain an understanding of bank processes.
- Problem-solve to simplify processes, minimize errors, and improve the effectiveness of controls.
- Leverage technology to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, data science, computer science, or engineering (with relevant coursework in finance or economics).
- Demonstrated passion for using technology to solve problems.
- Ability to create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets and manage large, complex data sets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of SQL query language, VBA, and SSRS report builder.
- Strong analytical skills, including attention to detail and the ability to communicate findings to management.
