About the role#
This HR Intern position is based at our North American Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. You will support the daily operations of our corporate Shared Services HR Department. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Lead projects aimed at improving administrative efficiencies.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for all technical and salary positions.
- Manage I-9 compliance and conduct first-day onboarding presentations.
- Handle shop floor inductions and necessary follow-up tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation for employee personnel files.
- Assist the HR team with purchase order requests and basic personnel administration.
- Lead employee building engagement initiatives in Auburn Hills.
- Audit the Forvia Core Procedure library and coordinate updates with leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a Human Resources related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
- A proactive attitude and a team-focused mindset.
- Capacity to manage individual projects while collaborating with others.
- Commitment to high ethical standards and adherence to company codes of ethics.
