About the role#
The Grain Intern role provides a hands-on view of the Grain Supervisor position at Farmers Win Cooperative. You will receive training on daily operations and gain experience in the essential functions of the grain business.
What you'll do#
- Learn how to purchase grain and understand the basics of grain marketing.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Identify customer requirements and communicate market changes alongside company products and services.
- Issue, complete, and execute cash contracts and grower agreements.
- Match the right products and services to specific customer needs.
- Enforce cooperative policies, including the credit policy.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Agriculture.
- Strong interpersonal and people skills.
- Ability to negotiate and solve problems effectively.
- Proficiency with computers.
