About the role#
The Agronomy Intern role connects classroom knowledge to field work. You will learn to identify weeds, diseases, and insects that affect crop growth. You will also test soil and plant nutrients while analyzing reports to help make crop input recommendations alongside an experienced agronomist. This position provides support for operations and warehouse staff as needed.
What you'll do#
- Inspect grower fields to identify weeds, insects, diseases, and pest counts.
- Track crop and weed staging along with other diagnostic issues.
- Document and share observations with your partnered field agronomist using scouting software and reports.
- Stay current on agronomic products, trends, and precision technologies.
- Uphold cooperative policies and enforce the credit policy.
- Help operations and warehouse teams as requested.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an associate or bachelor degree in agriculture or a related field.
- A valid and unrestricted driver license.
- Experience with farm equipment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes, tubs, and tools weighing 50-60 lbs.
- Ability to traverse uneven ground and operate farm equipment.
- Capacity to work extended hours during peak seasons.
- Strong communication, writing, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and solve problems resourcefully.

- Location: Mabel, Minnesota.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
- The term is rolling.
