About the role#
As an Accounting Intern, you will support the day-to-day operations of our public-company finance team. You will work with real transactions, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. This role balances core accounting tasks with AI-assisted automation to help the team work more efficiently. It is a good fit for an accounting student who is precise and interested in modern, tool-based workflows.
What you'll do#
- Support journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and vendor coding.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities.
- Prepare and tie out supporting schedules and workpapers.
- Help ensure US GAAP accuracy and assist with audit and PBC deliverables.
- Maintain clean and well-organized accounting records.
- Assist with budget versus actual reporting, cost-category analysis, and ad-hoc financial requests.
- Use AI tools to automate data cleaning, transaction categorization, and reporting workflows.
- Document your processes so that the tools and templates you build remain useful for the team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A solid understanding of accounting fundamentals including debits, credits, the close cycle, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfort learning and working in financial systems like accounting or ERP software.
- Ability to work with large, detailed sets of transaction data.
- A dependable, self-starting, and eager-to-learn attitude.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time, rolling internship located in El Segundo, California.
- The role is paid at $19 per hour.
