About the role#
We are looking for a Finance & AI Automation Intern to join our team. This role is for a technically-minded student who wants to apply AI tools inside a public-company finance department. You will use AI and automation to handle repetitive finance tasks while gaining exposure to our capital markets and funding activities. We provide the finance training, so you do not need a background in the field if you are comfortable with technology and eager to learn.
What you'll do#
- Use AI tools and basic code to speed up data cleaning, categorization, research, and reporting.
- Build, test, and document small automations and AI workflows.
- Support core finance functions including financial analysis, reconciliations, and month-end data preparation.
- Track equity financing, convertible instruments, and financing timelines.
- Maintain cap-table, dilution, and funding trackers.
- Conduct market, peer, and investor research and prepare summaries for our finance and IR teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in AI and technology, with experience going beyond simple AI chat interfaces.
- Exposure to basic coding, such as Python, or experience building simple automations through projects or coursework.
- Ability to read a basic P&L or a strong willingness to learn.
- Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Familiarity with no-code automation tools or AI coding assistants is a plus.
- Interest in capital markets and fundraising gained through coursework, clubs, or self-study.
- Bilingual skills in Mandarin Chinese are considered a plus.

- Location: El Segundo, California.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- Compensation: $19 per hour.
