About the role#
As an Upstream Engineer student, you will join multidisciplinary teams to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You will work alongside operations, maintenance, and technical specialists to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world challenges. This role offers exposure to production, facilities, integrity, controls, and reliability engineering. You will gain hands-on experience through a mix of field and office-based work while receiving mentorship from industry experts.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering projects focused on process optimization, production performance, and equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and develop engineering solutions.
- Analyze operational, production, maintenance, and inspection data to support decision-making.
- Assist in the development of inspection, maintenance, integrity, and reliability programs.
- Prepare engineering assessments, technical evaluations, and designs that support safe operations.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Available for a work term beginning in January or May 2027.
- Currently enrolled in a university program and returning to full-time studies after the work term.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Comfortable working in industrial and rural environments.
