About the role#
As a Process Control Applications Engineer Intern, you will join our Refinery and Chemicals operations team. You will work with integrated teams to support day-to-day operations and long-term initiatives. Your work will focus on maintaining safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant operations. You will be paired with a mentor to help review designs and implement process control systems for major projects.
What you'll do#
- Identify, implement, and maintain basic process control applications.
- Monitor existing applications on process units.
- Develop new applications while maintaining the performance of current ones.
- Support software and database requirements.
- Collaborate with Major Projects Teams to review designs and implement control systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Control Engineering from a Canadian Accredited University.
- Available for a work term starting in May 2027.
- Enrolled in a university engineering program and returning to full-time studies after the work term.
- Demonstrated leadership and strong academic performance.
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- A commitment to safety.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Previous industry experience is helpful but not required.

- Term: 12 or 16 months.
