About the role#
The Strathcona Refinery is seeking a Laboratory Student for a 12-month position starting in January 2027. You will work within the Quality Assurance Laboratory to qualify and test manufactured products. This role requires on-site attendance in Edmonton. You will receive on-the-job training from experienced employees to learn test methods and daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Manage the workload in your assigned work area.
- Perform daily testing required by the refinery.
- Conduct laboratory testing following established protocols and test methods.
- Enter data into the lab information system to document findings.
- Communicate test results as needed.
- Participate in company networking programs, such as the Networking Advisory Program and the Women's Interest Network.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least the first year of a Chemical Technology Diploma program or an equivalent education.
- A valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Submission of your most recent unofficial transcript with your application.
