Intern, Data Analytics

About the role#

As a Data Analytics Intern, you will support the development and maintenance of analytics tools and processes that inform project siting decisions and customer acquisition strategies. Working primarily with the Data Science team, you will contribute to the strategy roadmap and infrastructure that enables operations across various markets. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with Business Development, Real Estate, and Operations teams to translate data into actionable insights.

What you'll do#

• Assist with data pipelines, transformations, and data preparation for integration with backend infrastructure and tools.
• Develop Python and SQL scripts for data analysis, automation, and analytical workflows.
• Query SQL databases and leverage GIS tools to support business analytics and reporting.
• Document analytical workflows, processes, data definitions, and research.
• Create niche data products to support internal team objectives and assist with AI innovation initiatives.
• Communicate key insights, methodologies, and data products to internal stakeholders.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, GIS, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with GIS software (such as CARTO, ArcGIS, or QGIS) and Excel.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
