Nurse interns gain hands-on clinical experience under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse (RN). This role offers individualized placement within hospital and ambulatory care settings, allowing students to explore clinical specialties while building confidence, competence and professional identity. Interns are expected to function within an established student scope of practice, follow facility policies, and comply with Joint Commission and all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
