About the role#
The Student Nurse Internship Program is a paid, clinical role that bridges nursing education and professional practice. You will gain hands-on experience through preceptorship and interdisciplinary collaboration while exploring clinical specialties. This internship focuses on building your competence, confidence, and professional identity in a hospital or ambulatory care setting.
What you'll do#
- Participate in RN preceptorship and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Develop your clinical skills through progressive, hands-on practice.
- Provide patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.
- Follow facility policies and work within your established student scope of practice.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited BSN or ADN nursing program.
- Completion of your junior year of a Bachelor’s program or at least two clinical semesters of an Associate’s program.
- Graduation date no later than May 2028.
- Enrollment and active participation in an approved internship co-operative course at your nursing school for the summer semester.
- Ability to commit to 36-40 hours per week.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, which must be obtained within one month of hire and remain valid throughout the internship.

- Location: Bismarck, North Dakota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24 to August 13).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $22 per hour.
- Status: Full-time, temporary position (not eligible for benefits).
