About the role#
This position offers a paid training opportunity to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Northern Pines Medical Center. The program covers the full cost of tuition and the certification exam. Participants earn income while completing the required training and gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist licensed professionals and direct care staff with personal care tasks based on individualized care plans to ensure resident comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
- Assist with meal setup, water pass, and other basic personal care needs.
- Provide activities and exercise opportunities as assigned.
- Support residents with psychosocial needs and emotional well-being.
- Observe and report changes in resident conditions to supervisors.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with entrance screening and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- No formal education is required.
- Must successfully complete all facility-required training courses.
Location & details#
- Location: Aurora, Minnesota.
- Schedule: This is a flex position (0.6-0.9 FTE), requiring 24-36 hours per week.
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour during the training period. Upon certification, the wage will transition to the CNA pay scale at Essentia Health Virginia Care Center.
