Paid Training - Nursing Assistant Student Program - LTC

About the role#

This Nursing Assistant Student Program offers a path to becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Northern Pines Medical Center. The program covers the full cost of tuition and the certification exam, while providing paid, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment. This is a Flex position (0.6-0.9 FTE) requiring 24-36 hours per week.

What you'll do#

• Assist licensed professionals and direct care staff with personal care tasks based on individualized care plans to ensure resident comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
• Support residents with meal setup, water distribution, and other basic personal care needs.
• Facilitate activities and exercise opportunities as assigned.
• Provide support for residents' psychosocial needs and emotional well-being.
• Observe and report changes in resident conditions to supervisors and complete required documentation accurately.
• Assist with entrance screening and other assigned duties.

What you'll need#

• No prior education is required.
• Must successfully complete all facility-required training courses.

Location & details#

• Location: Aurora, Minnesota.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $15.00 per hour during the training period. Upon certification, pay adjusts to the Essentia Health Virginia Care Center CNA scale.
