About the role#
This 12-week summer internship within the MACS CSS Project Management Office offers hands-on experience in project portfolio management and governance. You will work alongside project operations professionals to improve visibility into portfolio performance and help simplify recurring activities. The role focuses on using data analytics, automation, and AI to identify trends, mitigate risks, and support decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation, analysis, and distribution of project status reports.
- Maintain dashboards and trackers used to monitor project health, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Assist with PMO governance, including meeting preparation, action tracking, and documentation.
- Identify ways to improve reporting quality, data consistency, and general PMO workflows.
- Explore the responsible use of GenAI and other productivity tools to improve documentation and reporting.
- Collect and validate project data from various stakeholders and systems.
- Prepare presentations and summaries for leadership reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in business, project management, operations, information systems, engineering, or data analytics.
- Experience using AI models and the Agent design process.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, or data visualizations.
- Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, or Microsoft Teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across different functions.
