About the role#
The Environmental Law & Policy Center is hiring a part-time development intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role involves 15 hours of work per week. You will support our development team with fundraising efforts and administrative tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing and conducting outreach for year-end giving campaigns.
- Research and identify potential funders to support our outreach efforts.
- Manage donor database entries while ensuring high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Complete administrative tasks to support the development team.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or community college program.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- A personal interest in environmental issues and nonprofit fundraising.
- Preferred majors include Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Public Health, Sociology, or Political Science.
Location & details#
- This position is based at our headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
- You must work on-site at least 4 hours per week on either Tuesday or Wednesday. Remaining hours may be performed remotely.
- The internship runs from September through December 2026.
- This is a paid position at $17.05 per hour. Students may choose to receive course credit instead of payment.
