About the role#
We are looking for a Manufacturing Systems Engineer Co-Op to join our team in Colorado Springs for the Winter 2027 season. This is a 6-month, full-time assignment where you will support the digitization and automation of our manufacturing operations. You will work within our Global Supply Chain team to help transform existing processes into digital systems for better visibility and analysis.
What you'll do#
- Partner with site teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and value delivery.
- Learn and apply Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), process control technologies, and analytics tools.
- Gather feedback from end users to understand challenges and identify system enhancements.
- Evaluate and prioritize projects based on business impact.
- Support project delivery through requirements gathering, testing, and training.
- Create technical documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Model manufacturing processes within digital systems to support production.
- Troubleshoot issues and assist users with system-related questions.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and achievements to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science program.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and using data to solve operational problems.
- Ability to model real-world processes in digital, discrete methods.
- Experience with databases, data communication protocols, and data visualization tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, specifically the ability to work backward from an end goal.
- Ability to communicate technical details to diverse stakeholders.
- Drive to understand how complex systems work and lead project progress.
Location & details#
- Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8a-5p) from January through June 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site at our manufacturing facility.
- Eligibility: You must be a currently enrolled student familiar with your university requirements for co-op participation. Please note that we do not provide immigration sponsorship for this role.
