About the role#
Encepta is seeking a Modelling Specialist Co-op to support telecommunications design and structural analysis teams. This role focuses on building accurate 3D models of aerial infrastructure across British Columbia using point-cloud data and field measurements. You will work alongside geomatics and engineering professionals to contribute to active infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Process point-cloud data, field photographs, and measurements.
- Digitize aerial telecommunications infrastructure to create accurate 3D models.
- Compare datasets to ensure models align with real-world conditions.
- Identify and resolve conflicting or missing information.
- Document work and contribute ideas to improve technical workflows.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a program such as Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
- Interest in telecommunications mapping, infrastructure, and data.
- Comfort learning new technical tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, GIS software, Python, SQL, or JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Effective time management to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
