About the role#
Encepta is seeking a Modelling Specialist Co-op to support telecommunications design and structural analysis teams. This role focuses on building accurate 3D models of aerial infrastructure across British Columbia by utilizing point-cloud data, field measurements, and technical documentation. This position is suitable for students in Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
What you'll do#
- Process point-cloud data, field photographs, and measurements.
- Digitize aerial telecommunications infrastructure to create accurate 3D models.
- Verify information across multiple datasets to ensure models reflect real-world conditions.
- Identify and resolve conflicting or missing information.
- Document work and contribute ideas to improve existing workflows and efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Interest in telecommunications mapping, infrastructure, and data.
- Comfort learning and using technical tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, GIS, CAD, Python, SQL, or JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Effective time management to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly.
