About the role#
As a Facilities Engineering Intern, you will provide hands-on support for projects that impact our manufacturing and office operations. You will work alongside experienced engineers and facility managers to gain exposure to building infrastructure, energy efficiency, and sustainability projects. This is a paid, full-time internship program designed to provide professional development and real-world engineering experience.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the planning, design, and modification of facility assets, including office spaces, laboratories, and manufacturing areas.
- Assist in evaluating system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement upgrades to enhance safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Support compliance efforts to ensure facility systems meet regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Use CAD software, data analysis, and technical reporting to support engineering decisions and communicate project outcomes.
- Gain exposure to complex building systems such as chilled water, heating water, hazardous exhaust, electrical distribution, and building automation.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) in-person.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is located on-site in Minnesota at one of our facilities in Chanhassen, Shakopee, or Eden Prairie.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
