About the role#
Elevate Infrastructure is seeking a Summer Intern to support the Project Development team. This role focuses on utility-scale energy infrastructure, including Battery Energy Storage Systems. You will gain hands-on experience with project lifecycles across greenfield and brownfield sites, with a specific focus on projects in New York City and abroad.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, including site origination, permitting, interconnection, and commercialization.
- Support the analysis and execution of greenfield and brownfield sites, including risk, cost, and timeline considerations.
- Contribute to live projects, such as interconnection, site control, offtake, and permitting strategy.
- Support the evaluation of acquisition opportunities through research, data organization, and risk analysis.
- Help build an internal playbook that outlines development processes and risks.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Finance, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in energy, infrastructure, or project development.
- Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage complexity and juggle competing priorities.
