Elevate Infrastructure is seeking a Summer Intern to join the Development team. This role focuses on utility-scale energy infrastructure, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will gain hands-on experience with the project lifecycle and contribute to both greenfield and brownfield sites, with a specific focus on projects in NYC and abroad.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, including site origination, permitting, interconnection, and commercialization.
- Support the analysis and execution of greenfield and brownfield sites, including evaluating risks, costs, and timelines.
- Contribute to live projects such as Arthur Kill II, Gowanus, and Astoria 1 & 2 BESS.
- Support the evaluation of acquisition opportunities through research, data organization, and risk analysis.
- Help build an internal, reusable playbook outlining development processes, risks, and tax equity considerations.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student in Engineering, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in energy, infrastructure, or project development.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage complexity and juggle competing priorities.

- Compensation: $20–$25 per hour.
