About the role#
This is a part-time, paid position for the Fall 2026 term. You will work on-site at either Mercy Hospital or Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role is open to students majoring in Communications, History, English, or Health Administration.
What you'll do#
You will support library operations and help visitors find the information they need. Primary tasks include:
- Answering questions from library users.
- Helping patrons locate materials and resources.
- Re-shelving books and other library items.
- Processing document delivery requests.
- Assisting the librarian with the general upkeep and supervision of the library space.
What you'll need#
- Federal Work-Study eligibility.
- Basic computer literacy.
- A professional demeanor and a focus on customer service.
- The ability to lift at least ten pounds.
