About the role#
As an MBE Intern, you will work directly with our engineering team and management. You will learn how to determine optimal manufacturing methods for our products while gaining hands-on experience in a production environment. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role in Joplin, Missouri.
What you'll do#
- Determine the best manufacturing methods and processes for company products.
- Coordinate with other departments to manage new or revised manufacturing processes.
- Perform time studies and analyze production methods.
- Document work procedures to support standardization.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Engineering programs.
- Ability to work from engineering design documents, prototypes, and change orders.
- Understanding of manufacturing methods, equipment, and tooling.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 6 sigma concepts.
- Experience with CAD/CAM equipment.
