About the role#
Dominican University is hiring a student to conduct in-person market research with small businesses in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. This is a part-time, on-site role for the month of October.
What you'll do#
- Visit small businesses throughout Little Village.
- Introduce the research project and explain the survey to owners.
- Encourage business owners to participate.
- Assist participants with completing the survey on an iPad when needed.
- Accurately record survey participation and follow research protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Dominican University.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with the Little Village neighborhood.
- Ability to walk door-to-door for several hours at a time.
- Confidence to engage professionally with small business owners.
- Availability to work 10 to 15 hours per week during October.
- Basic technology skills, including the use of an iPad or mobile device.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.

- Location: Little Village, Chicago, Illinois.
- Compensation: $17.05 per hour.
- Schedule: 10 to 15 hours per week during October.
