About the role#
Doeren Mayhew offers accounting internships for the Winter 2027 term. This program provides hands-on experience by pairing you with professionals to work on client engagements. You will choose between our audit or tax service groups during your interview. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
Depending on your chosen service group, you will contribute to various client projects. Audit interns work on engagement teams to complete audits, reviews, and compilations. You will travel to client sites, analyze financial information, test business transactions, and prepare financial statements. Tax interns assist with the preparation of corporate and individual tax returns, including partnerships, C-Corp, and S-Corp filings. You will also conduct tax research and prepare tax projections.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting.
- A cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Completion of at least one intermediate accounting course by Spring 2027 is preferred.
- Ability to work 25-40+ hours per week, including Saturdays.
- Strong drive to pursue a career in public accounting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through work or extracurricular activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Prior work experience is preferred.
Location & details#
This role is located on-site in Duluth, Georgia. The internship runs from January 2027 through April 16, 2027.
