About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will join our integrated design team to help create electrical systems for new construction and building renovation projects. You will work alongside licensed engineers and collaborate with professionals across architecture, interiors, and other disciplines. This role is part of our Emerging Professional Experience program, which provides hands-on project work, mentorship, and weekly learning sessions to help you build your technical and professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Design electrical systems while working with a licensed engineer.
- Attend design team meetings and observe coordination across a multi-disciplinary team.
- Assist with the development of construction documents using Revit.
- Visit an active construction site to see projects in progress.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.
- Experience or interest in BIM workflows, specifically Autodesk Revit MEP.
- A strong interest in architectural building design.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027, running from May 18 through August 6.
- Positions are located in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington.
- The work modality is on-site and hybrid, following a four-day in-office model with flexibility on Fridays.
