About the role#
As an Audiovisual Systems Design Intern, you will join our integrated design team to help create systems for diverse building projects. You will work alongside architects, engineers, and interior designers throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concepts to construction administration. This is a full-time, paid internship running from May 18 through August 6, 2027. You will participate in our Emerging Professional Experience program, which includes mentorship, hands-on project work, and weekly learning sessions.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with architects and engineers within our integrated design process.
- Learn BIM tools, technology, and workflows used to deliver projects.
- Assist in developing concepts, calculations, modeling, drawing reviews, and project execution.
- Perform 2D drafting and 3D modeling using Autodesk Revit software.
- Accompany team members on site visits to observe project results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a third-year student in an accredited Engineering program or a field related to technical audio or video system development.
- Experience with drafting programs such as Revit.
- Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
- A genuine interest in the architecture and engineering design process.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- AVIXA Recognized AV Technologist Certificate or equivalent credentials are preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
This position is available in Cleveland, Ohio; Los Angeles, California; Sacramento, California; and Seattle, Washington. The role requires an on-site or hybrid presence. We follow a four-day in-office model with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
