About the role#
As an Acoustic Design Intern, you will join our integrated design team to contribute to projects of varying types and complexities. You will work alongside professionals in architecture, engineering, and interiors to gain hands-on experience with the design process. This includes everything from early concepts and system development to documentation and construction administration. You will participate in our Emerging Professional Experience program, which provides mentorship, project work, and weekly learning sessions.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with architects and engineers on acoustic design tasks.
- Learn the tools, technology, and workflows involved with BIM.
- Accompany team members on project site visits to observe real-world results.
- Support senior staff in developing concepts, calculations, modeling, drawing reviews, reports, and project execution.
What you'll need#
- At least third-year status in an accredited Acoustical Engineering program or a similar field.
- Knowledge of basic acoustic metrics, calculations, and concepts.
- Familiarity with construction practices or building design drawings.
- Experience with drafting programs like Revit and acoustic modeling software such as CadnaA, CATT Acoustic, or Odeon.
- Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively within a team environment.
- A goal-oriented mindset with attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Locations: Cleveland, Ohio; Lincoln, Nebraska; or Omaha, Nebraska.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 18 through August 6, 2027).
- Status: Paid, full-time internship.
- Modality: On-site and hybrid (four-day in-office model with Friday flexibility).
