About the role#
As an Interior Design Intern, you will support a design team on new construction and renovation projects in the senior living industry. You will gain hands-on experience while contributing to solutions that impact residents and staff.
What you'll do#
- Support the design team across all phases of construction and renovation projects.
- Research life safety, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with space planning and concept development.
- Help create preliminary drawings and client-facing materials like renderings and presentations.
- Prepare project documentation including binders and registrations.
- Coordinate reselections and organize construction document legends.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Interior Design program, either an Associate or Bachelor degree.
- Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work 15 to 20 hours per week during the academic year.
- Ability to work full-time during summer and academic breaks.
- Majors in Architecture, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Business Administration are also considered.
