About the role#
The PBS Books Intern works with the PBS Books Producer to support various programs and initiatives. This role involves project coordination, database management, and content creation. You will gain experience in digital media production, audience engagement, and administrative operations while contributing to the team.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and organize records and databases for programs, productions, and partners.
- Conduct research for upcoming programs, themes, authors, and guests.
- Assist with production and post-production tasks.
- Draft social media content and promotional messaging.
- Support communications and audience engagement efforts.
- Attend weekly planning meetings and provide general administrative support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or vocational tech training program, or recent graduation within the last 6 months.
- Pursuing a degree in communications, marketing, library science, or a related field.
- Ability to commit to 20 hours per week for 16 weeks.
- Availability to work on-site at least 3 days per week.
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with online research and social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube is helpful.

- This position is based in Wixom, Michigan.
- This is an on-site, unpaid internship for the Fall 2026 term.
