About the role#
The PBS Books Intern reports to the PBS Books Producer to support various programs and initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in digital media production, project management, and audience engagement. This is an unpaid internship focused on education and training.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and organize records, databases, and project tracking systems.
- Provide research support for upcoming programs, authors, guests, and department initiatives.
- Assist with production and post-production projects.
- Draft social media content and promotional messaging.
- Support communications and audience engagement efforts for programs and events.
- Attend weekly planning meetings and provide general administrative support to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or vocational tech program, or graduation within the past six months.
- Pursuit of a degree in communications, library science, marketing, or a related field.
- Ability to work 20 hours per week, at least 3 days per week, for a 16 week term.
- Strong written, oral, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to track multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and online research.

- This role is based on-site in Wixom, Michigan.
- The term for this internship is Fall 2026.
