About the role#
This is a six-month paid, full-time internship focused on influencer relations, community engagement, and social media. Reporting to the PR & Influencer Specialist, you will help build and develop the Dermalogica PRO Collective, a community of professional skin care experts. You will gain hands-on experience in project coordination, content creation, and marketing analytics while applying your academic background to real-world brand initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Research and identify emerging voices across esthetics, dermatology, nursing, medspa, skin science, and wellness.
- Support the development and distribution of monthly content briefs for PRO Collective members.
- Monitor social media conversations on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook to identify trends and engagement opportunities.
- Coordinate product shipments and maintain accurate tracking for influencer and PR seeding.
- Assist with filming days, events, and office visits while maintaining organized records of generated content.
- Support monthly reporting by tracking activations, engagement metrics, and top-performing content.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to foster authentic community engagement.
What you'll need#
- A recent degree, diploma, or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Media, or Business.
- A genuine interest in skin care, professional beauty, and influencer marketing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high level of attention to detail.
- A creative mindset and a willingness to take initiative within a collaborative team.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Toronto, Ontario.
- The position follows a hybrid work model, requiring you to work from our downtown Toronto office three days per week.
- Compensation is $22 to $25 per hour.
