About the role#
Our 2027 Summer Internship Program offers students the chance to work on projects with real outcomes. You will learn from experienced professionals and build professional connections. This full-time, 10-week program is based at our headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Engineering: Work on renewable energy, grid modernization, and system performance tasks.
- Project Management: Assist in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Procurement & Supply Chain: Support supplier management, sourcing, and logistics.
- Information Technology & Cybersecurity: Help maintain and protect our digital infrastructure.
- Computer & Data Science: Analyze data sets to provide insights for business decisions.
- Finance & Accounting: Contribute to financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
- Development: Help with project siting, land acquisition, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and GIS mapping.
- External Affairs, Communications & Marketing: Support advocacy, public affairs, and communication strategies.
- Human Resources: Assist with talent acquisition, employee experience, and organizational development.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
- Must not graduate before August 2027.
- Rising junior or senior status with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort speaking in front of executive teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Leadership experience through extracurricular activities.
- A self-driven, motivated, and proactive approach.
- Genuine interest in the renewable energy industry.
