About the role#
Dennis Group is looking for a Structural Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on industrial projects focused on food and beverage processing facilities. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Springfield, Massachusetts.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering principles and practices across various construction materials.
- Perform hand calculations and build computer analysis models for structural design.
- Document design loads, including gravity, wind, and seismic requirements.
- Design mat slabs for process tanks, vessels, and silos.
- Coordinate structural tasks with other project disciplines.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Experience or coursework in structural analysis and calculations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for structural and concrete drafting.
- Availability to travel to project sites up to 15 days per year.
- An EIT or FE certification is preferred.
