About the role#
Dennis Group is looking for a BIM/VDC Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Springfield, Massachusetts. You will support our team in planning and engineering food and beverage facilities through technical modeling and coordination tasks.
What you'll do#
- Perform BIM and VDC tasks across projects to ensure coordination with clients and sub-consultants.
- Assist in developing BIM Execution Plan strategies.
- Help the BIM/VDC Manager train design personnel on specific tools and processes.
- Work with the BIM/VDC Project Engineer to facilitate multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection.
- Convert vendor equipment into Revit models to support the project team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program for VDC, BIM, Architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Practical experience in a computer-aided drafting and design setting, either through school or work.
- Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, Plant3D, Navisworks, or Bluebeam.
- Experience working with Revit and Inventor.
