About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will join the team at Dennis Group to support the design and construction of food and beverage production facilities. You will work on HVAC, plumbing, utility, and fire suppression systems. This role involves technical tasks related to scoping and delivering project assignments.
What you'll do#
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations.
- Conduct code reviews for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs.
- Create mechanical schedules.
- Assist in the development of mechanical system designs.
- Perform construction administration tasks, including submittal reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in a bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Familiarity with heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar engineering design software.
- HVAC or utilities design experience is a plus.
