As a Finance Intern, you will serve as the intelligence engine of the Finance Department. This is a back-office, administrative role focused on data, research, and political strategy. You will handle sensitive donor information and high-level strategy while supporting the infrastructure that funds the organization's political activities.
What you'll do#
- Conduct deep-dive internet research on prospective donors to identify contact information, giving history, and biographical details.
- Update and clean donor profiles in NGP to ensure contribution history and contact logs are accurate.
- Assist in assembling digital and physical briefing materials for Call Time sessions.
- Support the logistical backend of fundraising events, including tracking RSVPs, creating name tags, and managing check-in lists.
What you'll need#
- Strong research skills and the ability to locate information using various online tools.
- High attention to detail and the ability to perform data tasks with accuracy.
- Tech proficiency, specifically with Google Sheets or Excel (sorting, filtering, and formatting).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Finance, Political Science, or Business Administration.
- Ability to work outside of normal hours, including participation in canvassing and election-preparation tasks as necessary.
- Preferred: Experience with data entry, administrative work, or familiarity with NGP, VoteBuilder, or ActBlue.
