About the role#
Delta Dental of Michigan is seeking an intern to join the Government Programs department. This role focuses on data analysis, reporting, and supporting department operations through a variety of tasks.
What you'll do#
- Create spreadsheets, build basic tables, and clean data using Microsoft Excel.
- Build data-based visual reports for both commercial and government programs.
- Provide high-level analytics for the Government Programs team.
- Contact dental providers and offices to follow up on missing claims information.
- Communicate with external clients and providers.
- Identify creative market trends for target advertising.
- Maintain claims records and assist with complex projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong attention to detail and an interest in solving complex challenges.

- This position is based in Okemos, Michigan.
- The work modality is hybrid.
- This is a part-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
