About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship for the 2027 season based in San Diego. You will work directly with engineers and BIM designers to gain hands-on experience in structural engineering. The role focuses on learning through mentorship and active participation in project workflows.
What you'll do#
- Perform preliminary structural analysis and design across various project and construction types.
- Draft and detail using Revit.
- Review shop drawings and submittals for construction support.
- Visit construction sites to support ongoing project work.
- Coordinate project details by collaborating with the engineering and design teams.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- You are a 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate or a master's student.
- You communicate effectively and work well both independently and in a team.
- You have a genuine interest in structural design and construction support.
