About the role#
DB E.C.O. North America is looking for a Communications Intern to join our Marketing and Delegation team. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional environment, focusing on marketing strategy, internal and external communications, and project management. You will work closely with our team to support rail and transit consultancy initiatives, including the organization of delegation trips to Germany and various company events across the United States.
What you'll do#
- Assist with developing and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns, including designing proposals.
- Manage and update the company website using WordPress, monitor performance, and support SEO activities.
- Create and distribute internal and external communications, such as newsletters and employee announcements.
- Maintain our LinkedIn presence by developing content that highlights company projects, employee achievements, and industry insights.
- Support the planning and execution of events, customer programs, and industry conferences, including capturing multimedia content.
- Help maintain marketing templates, digital assets, brand resources, and contact lists.
- Coordinate photography and videography for company projects and events.
- Assist with the creation of corporate presentations and customer-facing materials.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, business, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and experience using WordPress.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
- Knowledge of the Deutsche Bahn Group’s railway transportation and technical railway concepts.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage projects effectively.
- Creative thinking skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in German is considered a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Washington, D.C.
- Presence is required 5 days per week at the office.
- The role is paid, with compensation ranging from $25 to $33 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
