About the role#
Management Interns join an accelerated 9-week program during the summer of 2026. This role provides an introduction to the transportation industry and Dayton Freight operations. Interns who complete the program are considered for the Management Trainee Program once they earn their degree.
What you'll do#
- Learn about the transportation industry, company policies, and procedures.
- Understand the function of each position within the Service Center.
- Contribute to the success of the Service Center team.
- Participate in an accelerated training program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college.
- Proficiency in English.
- Basic math skills.
- Availability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts during the program.

- Location: Knoxville, Tennessee.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid at $23.95 per hour.
