About the role#
The Executive Director for Student Health & Well-Being provides leadership for the Center for Student Health & Well-Being at Davidson College. You will oversee clinical services, health promotion, and campus-wide well-being initiatives. This role requires building partnerships across Student Life, Athletics, Dining, and Academic Affairs to sustain a shared vision for student health.
What you'll do#
- Provide leadership to the Center for Student Health & Well-Being, including supervision of counseling, nursing, and administrative staff.
- Develop, administer, and assess the goals, policies, and activities of the Center to meet the needs of students at a residential liberal arts college.
- Liaise with local doctors, hospitals, clinics, and health programs to coordinate care.
- Collaborate with students, staff, and faculty to cultivate a comprehensive approach to holistic well-being.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Center regarding budget, operations, and facilities.
- Manage donor funds and assist with fundraising efforts.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in health care administration, public health, health sciences, medical administration, or related fields.
- An understanding of college student mental health issues.
- A commitment to inclusive practices related to student health and well-being.
- Knowledge of budget and fiscal processes.
- The ability to comply with HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to leadership.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Davidson, North Carolina.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling application term.
