About the role#
The Executive Director for Student Health & Well-Being serves as a strategic leader responsible for advancing an integrated approach to student health. This role strengthens coordination across clinical services, health promotion, and campus-wide initiatives to support a holistic student experience. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Life, the Executive Director sets the direction for the Center for Student Health & Well-Being and fosters collaboration across departments including Athletics, Dining, and Academic Affairs.
What you'll do#
- Provide leadership to the Center for Student Health & Well-Being, including the supervision of clinical and administrative staff.
- Develop, administer, and assess the goals, policies, and activities of the Center to meet the needs of a residential liberal arts college.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Center regarding budget, operations, and facilities while stewarding donor funds.
- Liaise with local medical providers, hospitals, and health agencies to coordinate care.
- Collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to align resources and cultivate a comprehensive approach to student well-being.
- Participate in division leadership meetings and campus task forces related to health and wellness.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, public health, health sciences, medical administration, or a related field.
- Understanding of college student mental health issues and policy issues in higher education.
- Knowledge of budget and fiscal processes.
- Ability to comply with HIPAA and FERPA regulations.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices regarding student health and well-being.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills to interact with a wide range of campus constituents.

- This position is located in Davidson, North Carolina.
- This is a full-time, on-site role.
