About the role#
As a Strength and Conditioning Intern at D1 Training in Altoona, you will work directly with youth athletes ages 7 and up, as well as adults and teams. You will help members reach their fitness goals by implementing training philosophies and providing personalized guidance. This role focuses on creating a supportive environment where athletes can improve their performance safely.
What you'll do#
- Coach group workouts, personal training sessions, and team practices.
- Teach proper form and movement patterns to keep athletes safe and reduce injury risk.
- Modify and adapt movements to suit the specific needs of each individual.
- Build and maintain relationships with members to help them stay on track.
- Assess members to ensure they are aligned with the correct training program.
- Provide advice on strength, speed, and nutrition.
- Ensure all workouts start and finish on time.
- Foster a positive and motivating environment for every athlete.
What you'll need#
- At least 1 year of experience in a group, team, or personal training setting.
- A valid AED, CPR, and First Aid certification.
- A bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field is preferred.

- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship with a rolling start date.
