About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining an overview of pharmacy operations while preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. This is a part-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in all patient interactions.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences at pick-up and drive-thru windows.
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures at each workstation to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into, or active enrollment in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to concentrate on specific tasks over extended periods.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Ability to use math to solve problems related to prescriptions, such as calculating dosages and day supplies.
