About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap that covers store, district, and regional operations. This role is designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by immersing you in daily pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations.
- Provide caring service to patients and assist with medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Perform basic inventory activities, including cycle counts and managing medication deliveries.
- Offer immunizations and other health services, educate patients, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws regarding pharmacy practice and patient privacy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- At least 1 year of experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work at your home store and travel to other locations in the market as needed.

- Employment Type: Part-time, rolling term.
- Pay Range: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
