About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This program provides an overview of pharmacy operations and prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. You will gain hands-on experience through Key Learning Experiences and activities while working with district leaders.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Follow company procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Offer to counsel patients, field medical questions, and solicit information on medical history.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and facilitate medication changes where allowed by law.
- Perform immunizations and provide patient health care services where permitted by state regulations.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries and performing cycle counts.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or progress toward obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to pivot between tasks to meet patient needs.

- Location: Fargo, North Dakota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time, including nights and weekends.
- Pay: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
