About the role#
We are hiring an Actuarial Intern for the summer of 2027. You will join our Personal Lines and Product Management division to support our actuarial teams. This role offers exposure to real business challenges, including pricing, product performance, and claim trends. You will work with a mentor to build your analytical skills and gain a better understanding of the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to our Pricing, Pricing Design, or Reserving teams.
- Analyze data to assist in developing rates, performing competitive analysis, and setting loss reserves.
- Compile data, perform statistical analysis, and summarize your findings.
- Collaborate with a small team on a capstone project to be presented to senior management at the end of the summer.
- Receive career development support and guidance from an assigned mentor.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Rising junior or senior standing, with an expected graduation date on or before Summer 2028.
- At least one passed actuarial exam.
- Familiarity or working knowledge of Excel, SAS, or Python/R.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
- A genuine interest in starting a career in the insurance industry.
- Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without company sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship running from May 24 to August 6, 2027.
- The role is remote, with the option to be hybrid out of our Phoenix, Arizona office.
